The Filtersorb SP Water Softener is unlike most conventional water softeners on the market today. Conventional water softeners require maintenance, such as adding large bags of salt and having to discharge the salt and minerals into a drain which means a drain would need to be installed. The Filtersorb SP is low maintenance and does not require salt or backwashing. Conventional water softeners also require electricity for the control valve on top of the Water Softener; the Filtersorb SP requires no electricity. This idea is simple just install the Filtersorb SP and forget about it. This system fits into almost any location, just water in and water out. Since most water softeners require that salt be added you should remove it in your drinking water by using a Reverse Osmosis System for point of use drinking water. Drinking water with sodium in it can be harmful to your health. The Filtersorb SP adds no salt to your water therefore there is no need to buy expensive reverse osmosis filter for your drinking water.
